About me

I graduated from Juniata College in May and now live in Washington, D.C. as I begin my career in Information Technology. I'm always looking to connect with individuals in the D.C. Metro Area, so get in touch!

My Skills

I've been fortunate to have quite a few learning experiences over the past six years where I've gained real-life skills that will help me excel. From managing a team of 20 students at school, to starting my own website development and marketing company, to interning in Washington, D.C. with a 4,000+ person organization - I've gained skills and experience that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

While in this three-year leadership development program, I will work with the latest technologies in web and mobile, while developing technical, business, and project management skills. Technology Analyst Intern

U.S. Department of Education, Office of the Chief Information Officer - Washington, D.C.

5 Months

I worked with the Enterprise Business Collaboration (EBC) team in relation to their efforts to use SharePoint tools and create efficiencies in business processes across various program and administrative offices.

Technology Specialist

Jaclyn Hoffman, Ed.D. & Associates - Moorestown, NJ

6 Years

September 2010 - July 2015

I planned a strategic multi-phase conversion process of client files to allow for off-line, paperless access from mobile devices and helped reduce printing costs and create a more productive workflow by introducing paperless form and data intake. I used Apple Configurator to deploy company iPads using the Meraki MDM cloud.

Project Development Manager

Juniata College, Technology Solutions Center - Huntingdon, PA

1 Year

May 2012 - May 2013

In this position, I worked with two other student managers to help manage a team of over 20 student employees, and a large budget. My role mainly included researching and exploring new and emerging technologies and analyzing how they could impact and improve the Juniata community. I created a collaborative Mac computing lab; developed a data collection plan for the training program, lab computer usage, and equipment rentals; held one-on-one training sessions with faculty, staff, and administration on topics like iPad basics, advanced iPad user group, Mac Tips & Tricks, PC Basics, photo and video editing tools (Photoshop, Premiere, iMovie) and more. I also created a self-guided QR-code tour of Juniata for prospective students to get better familiarized with our campus.

Lead Programmer (Intern)

Mutual Benefit Group - Huntingdon, PA

5 Months

January 2014 - May 2014

I worked with three other students to develop data-entry screens on the company intranet to allow staff to update insurance rates - eliminating the need to pay a programmer to do so, which saves MBG $5,000 per large rate change/update.

I also assisted in the creation of a month-end calculation tool to help determine the date to close checks each month (based around holidays and financial schedules), which saves MBG $500 per year. Skills I developed during this project included SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2010, VB, and .NET.

Officer of Technology

Juniata College Student Government Executive Board
May 2014 - December 2014

Juniata College Young Entrepreneurs' Society
May 2014 - December 2014

The Juniata College YES club owns a micro-fridge rental business and is currently exploring branching out into additional business opportunities. All aspects of the business are run by the club, giving all members a hands-on opportunity to gain experience running a real business during their college career.

Section Leader

Juniata College Concert Choir
August 2011 - May 2015

My role as section leader includes identifying places of weakness in our repertoire and organizing sectional rehearsals each week to help motivate all members to work to get on the same level, and to help individuals improve on specific areas of our music.

Being a member of the Juniata College Concert Choir is a large time commitment. We rehearse over 4 hours per week in-class, and over 8 hours per week outside of class on our own time. We travel internationally each year. I've been fortunate enough to travel to Ireland and Guatemala with JCCC. Future trips include China (Summer 2014), Costa Rica (Jan 2015), and Germany (March 2015). Being an international-traveling choir, all members are very dedicated.
